Gah. I have the automatic one. Same exact year and stuff. Wish I could do a manual swap. Love the car either way.

There was a kid in college that painted his outback full green that color. Looked like the same year and did the subaru technica stars in a faded gold color on the sides of the car. Like the old rally subarus. Thing was sweet

Remind your buddy to give the thing its due check overs. My friend's looked almost exactly like that but red (with brown in some spots too). It just burnt to the ground sitting in a parking lot. I believe it was due to negligence.
